Frequency of Pre-Eclampsia in Obese Primigravida Compared to Non-Obese Primigravida

Objective: The purpose of this study is to compare the prevalence pre-eclampsia in obese primigravida compared those who are not obese. Study Design: Prospective cohort Place and Duration Study: research was conducted at Gynecology Obstetrics Department bahawal Victoria hospital Bahawalpur from 01 June 2021 31 December 2021. Materials Methods: consisted sixty (60) patients, selected using a non-probability consecutive sampling technique. All between ages 20 35, with singleton pregnancies >26 weeks BMI>30kg/m2 group BMI<30kg/m2 non-obese group, were included. This data collected on specially designed Performa. An analysis SPSS version 16. Frequency percentage calculated for qualitative variables, such as (present/absent). Using Chi-square, we frequency pre-eclampsia. A p-value <0.05 considered significant. Results: range age participants ranged 35 years, mean 27.08 ± 3.59 years. gestational 34.65 4.35 weeks. BMI 37.50 5.47 kg/m2, while B it 26.77 3.64 kg/m2. preeclampsia Group (obese group) 43.33% (13%), (non-obese 13.33% (4%). Conclusion: results suggest that higher (43.33% versus 13.33%). shows obesity risk factor there exist positive relation preeclampsia.
